The Achacha, also called Achachairú, is a tropical fruit native to the Bolivian Amazon and a close relative of mangosteen. The small, oval fruit has a smooth, glossy orange skin and contains a soft, white, segmented pulp. Known for its refreshing balance of sweet and tangy flavors, achacha is prized as a gourmet fruit and is becoming increasingly popular in tropical orchards worldwide. Achacha is low in sugar and rich in vitamins C and B.
