Ambersweet is a complex citrus hybrid developed by the USDA, classified as an orange but genetically part tangerine, grapefruit, and sweet orange. It originates from a cross of Clementine tangerine and Orlando tangelo, further crossed with a mid-season sweet orange, making it 3/8 tangerine, 1/8 grapefruit, and 1/2 sweet orange.
 
Taste: The flesh is juicy and tender, with sweet, mild flavor and low acidity.
