The Granny Val Muscadine is an excellent bronze, self-fertile variety known for its exceptionally heavy production and late-season harvest. It is considered one of the heaviest producing muscadines available. The fruit has excellent quality with a very edible skin, making it great for fresh eating, juice, and processing. Because Granny Val sets such a large crop, light fruit thinning may be needed to ensure proper ripening and maximum sweetness.
