The Gulf Rose Plum is a Japanese-style plum variety developed by the University of Florida for warm climates. It produces attractive dark reddish purple fruit with juicy, sweet flesh that is blood red in color, and a pleasantly balanced flavor. The fruit are semi-freestone, ripen about one week later than 'Gulfblaze'. Known for its reliable production and adaptability to subtropical conditions, this variety is well suited for Florida home gardens and backyard orchards.
