The June Plum, also known as Ambarella, Golden apple, Pommecythere (Caribbean), Jew plum, is a fast-growing tropical fruit tree valued for its crisp, juicy fruit and ornamental appearance. The fruit is oval and green to golden-yellow when ripe, with firm flesh surrounding a spiny seed. Depending on ripeness, the flavor ranges from tart and refreshing to sweet-tropical, often compared to a mix of pineapple, mango, and green apple.
