The Keraji Mandarin is a rare, cold-hardy Japanese citrus originating from Kikai-Jima Island. It produces small to medium, slightly flattened fruit with yellow to orange skin and pale, juicy flesh. Known for its unique sweet, low-acid flavor often described as “sweet lemonade,” it is commonly used as a mild lemon substitute. The fruit is easy to peel and highly aromatic, making it excellent for fresh eating and culinary use.
