The Kiowa Blackberry is a thorny floricane variety developed by the University of Arkansas, famous for producing the largest blackberry fruits of any variety. Its berries are exceptionally large, firm, and flavorful, with good storage and shipping qualities. Kiowa is highly productive and one of the longest-fruiting blackberries, often producing for 6 weeks or more in warm climates.

 

Taste: Sweet, rich, and full blackberry flavor.

Season: Early summer through mid-summer, with a long harvest window (May – July)

Pollination: Self-pollinating
Requirements: Full sun, fertile well-drained soil, regular watering; pruning after harvest maintains strong cane growth and productivity.
