The Natchez Blackberry is a thornless variety released by the University of Arkansas, valued for its large, elongated berries and early harvest. The canes are vigorous, semi-erect, and benefit from light support or trellising for best production. Natchez produces firm, glossy black fruit with excellent sweetness and mild acidity, making it ideal for fresh eating, desserts, and freezing. It is also known for high yields and consistent performance in warm regions.

Taste: Sweet, juicy, with mild acidity and classic blackberry flavor.
Fruit size: Large, elongated.
Season: May - June
USDA Zones: 6 – 9
Pollination: Self-pollinating.
Requirements: Full sun, fertile and well-drained soil, regular watering; benefits from trellising or light support due to vigorous semi-erect canes.
