This Japanese non-astringent persimmon produces squat, tomato-shaped fruit that can be eaten crisp like an apple or allowed to soften slightly.Fuyu is a consistent and reliable producer, making it a favorite for both home gardens and commercial orchards, and it performs especially well in north and north-central Florida.
