Ananas comosus, commonly known as pineapple, is a tropical fruit that was originally discovered in South America. 
Sugarloaf Pineapple is one of the most delicious pineapples. It has the lowest acid content of all, and is the sweetest and fullest flavoured pineapple. It is often called Pan de Azúcar in South America and also known as Kona Pineapple, Kona Sugarloaf or Brazilian White Pineapple.
 
Taste: The white flesh is extremely juicy with a floral aroma and a creamy, non-stringy texture. The flavor has hints of honey, and almost no acidity. The core is also sweet and edible.
