The Red Wax Jambu, also known as Wax Apple or Java Apple, is a tropical evergreen fruit tree prized for its beautiful, glossy red, bell-shaped fruit. Beneath the thin, waxy skin is crisp, crunchy, exceptionally juicy flesh with a refreshing, mildly sweet flavor and delicate floral aroma. Red-fruited selections are often among the sweeter wax jambus. The fruit is commonly eaten fresh and is especially refreshing in warm weather.

USDA Zones: 10–11 (can survive in Zone 9B if given active protection from frost)
