The Orlando Tangelo is an early-season citrus hybrid between a Dancy mandarin and a Duncan grapefruit, valued for its juicy, well-balanced flavor and good cold tolerance. It produces round fruit with bright orange, firm and juicy flesh that combines sweetness with a pleasant tang. The fruit is aromatic and flavorful, making it suitable for both fresh eating and juicing. The rind is somewhat easier to peel than many oranges, though not as loose as Minneola. This vigorous and productive tree performs well in warm climates and is a reliable choice for home gardens.
