The Sanbokan tree is a rare hybrid citrus variety that traces its roots back to Wakayama Prefecture in Japan. Its fruit stands out with a large basal protuberance and a thick, bumpy rind that peels away easily, much like a tangerine. 
 
Taste: The flavor is a unique blend of sweet orange and grapefruit, offering a natural “lemonade-like” taste — a perfect balance of sweet and tart.
