The Green Wax Jambu, also known as Green Wax Apple or Java Apple, is a tropical fruit tree prized for its refreshing green fruit and exceptionally crisp texture. The shiny, thin-skinned fruit is pear- to bell-shaped with white to pale-green flesh that is crunchy, juicy, mildly fragrant, and delicately sweet. Its high water content gives it a refreshing quality similar to watermelon, while the crisp bite is reminiscent of a pear. Green Wax Jambu is excellent eaten fresh, chilled, or added to fruit salads.
