Mulberry Trees
Mulberry trees are fast-growing fruit trees known for producing abundant crops of sweet, juicy berries that resemble elongated blackberries. Interestingly, mulberries are not true berries botanically, but multiple fruits formed from clusters of tiny flowers. Depending on the variety, the fruit can range from white and pink to deep purple or nearly black, with flavors varying from honey-sweet to pleasantly tart. Many mulberry varieties grow exceptionally well in Florida, offering delicious fruit and an early harvest before many other summer fruits ripen.
