Nectarine Trees
Nectarine trees are closely related to peaches, but unlike their fuzzy-skinned relatives, nectarines have smooth, glossy skin caused by a natural genetic variation. Their juicy fruit offers a delicious balance of sweetness and acidity, with varieties ranging from yellow to white flesh and differing in flavor, firmness, and ripening season. Although traditionally associated with cooler climates, specially bred low-chill nectarine varieties can grow and produce fruit in Florida, bringing the taste of fresh, homegrown nectarines to warmer gardens.
