The Orient Pear is a vigorous, fast-growing hybrid pear prized for its heavy crops, excellent fruit quality, and outstanding resistance to fire blight. It produces large, golden-yellow fruit, often with a light red blush, and firm white flesh that is exceptionally juicy and sweet. Combining traits of both Asian and European pears, the fruit is crisp when fresh yet softens nicely for baking, canning, and other culinary uses. This reliable variety performs especially well in warm Southern climates.
