The Sabara Jaboticaba is one of the most popular and highly regarded jaboticaba varieties, native to Brazil. This beautiful evergreen tree produces clusters of glossy, dark purple to nearly black fruit directly on its trunk and mature branches, creating a spectacular display when fruiting. The fruit has a thin, edible skin surrounding juicy, translucent-white pulp with a sweet, rich, grape-like flavor and a pleasant mild tang. Sabara is excellent for fresh eating and can also be used for juices, jams, jellies, and wine.
