The Prime-Ark® Freedom Blackberry is a breakthrough variety from the University of Arkansas, introduced as the world’s first thornless, primocane-fruiting blackberry. Unlike traditional blackberries that only bear on second-year canes, Prime-Ark® Freedom can produce fruit on first-year canes, giving growers an earlier harvest and often two crops per year in warm climates. 
 
Taste: Sweet, rich, and juicy with classic blackberry flavor.
Fruit size: Very large, up to 9–10 grams each.
Season: Early summer crop in May–June, and a possible late crop in fall.
