The Custard Apple, also known as Bullock’s Heart or Bull’s Heart, is a tropical Annona prized for its sweet, aromatic fruit and exceptionally soft, creamy texture. Unlike the distinctly segmented Sugar Apple, Custard Apple typically produces larger, heart-shaped to rounded fruit with a smoother, lightly reticulated skin. Inside, the flesh is soft, smooth, and custard-like with a sweet, rich, mellow tropical flavor. Fruit appearance can vary considerably, with skin colors ranging from greenish-yellow to yellow-brown and sometimes pink or reddish tones.
