The Green Malayan Coconut is a tropical palm tree native to Southeast Asia known for its ability to thrive in coastal regions with sandy soil and warm climates. Coconuts are green when young, turning brown as they mature. They provide coconut water, oil, and flesh used in culinary and cosmetic applications.

Taste: The water and flesh have a desirable sweet and nutty taste.
Fruit size: 8 – 12 inches long.

Plant size: 50 – 80 ft tall.
Season: Nearly year-round.
USDA Zones: 10 – 11 (while established palms can tolerate brief dips to about 30°F, they require protection from frost and colder temperatures below 40°F, especially for young trees).
Pollination: Self-pollinating
Requirements: Full sun, sandy well-drained soil, and regular moisture. Salt-tolerant, making it ideal for coastal planting.
