The Green Ischia Fig is a classic Mediterranean variety valued for its beautiful fruit, reliable production, and distinctive flavor. The figs have bright green skin, which often stays green even when ripe, making them less noticeable to birds. Inside, the flesh is a vivid strawberry-red with a rich, sweet, and berry-like flavor. Green Ischia is productive and can yield two crops in warm climates: an early breba crop in late spring and a main crop in late summer.
