The UF SunLime® Red is a patented finger lime developed by the University of Florida, prized for its unique "citrus caviar" fruit, excellent productivity, and tolerance to citrus greening (HLB). It produces elongated fruit filled with vibrant juice vesicles that burst with a bright, tangy citrus flavor. Both the skin and the caviar-like juice vesicles mature to a deep red, though they may develop pink hues in warmer microclimates. This medium-sized, thorned tree flowers multiple times throughout the year, providing several harvests in warm climates and making it an outstanding choice for Florida home gardens.
