The Yuzu is a cold-hardy Asian citrus that originated in Japan and produces yellow fruit about the size of a medium tangerine with a rough, easily peeled skin and a fragrant, lemon-like flavor with complex citrus notes. Yuzu is highly valued in culinary use for its aromatic zest and juice. This tree is very cold tolerant and can become partially deciduous during cold spells, with mature trees able to withstand temperatures below freezing when fully dormant.
