Blackberry bushes are vigorous berry plants that can produce abundant crops of sweet, richly flavored fruit in a relatively small space. Interestingly, each blackberry is actually made up of many tiny individual fruits called drupelets clustered together. Varieties differ in sweetness, berry size, chill requirements, and whether their canes have thorns, with several low-chill and thornless selections well suited for growing in Florida’s warm climate.
